Providing Support for the Non-Offending Caregivers

Trauma does not just impact the child, but the whole family - and we are here to help

You never know what a family is going through. Making ends meet or putting food on the table can be a significant challenge for many, which is why Gingerbread House Child Advocacy Center wants to help. Based in Shreveport, LA, our family advocacy program works to provide struggling families throughout the area with meals and resources.

Have questions about our program? Speak with one of our family advocates by calling 318-674-2900 today.

Supporting families in our community

Giving back to our community and guiding struggling families is important to our mission. As part of our family advocacy program, we provide families within the nine parishes we service in Northwest Louisiana with:

  • Back-to-School Extravaganza - School supplies for their specific class, a new backpack, and a lunch box
  • Baskets of Hope: Thanksgiving meal for a family
  • Operation Holly Jolly: Christmas gifts for the whole family including needs the caregivers may have

In addition to these holiday programs, our family advocates connect non-offending caregivers to programs and other agencies providing referrals and support for any area of need they may have.
