Specialized medical evaluation focused on accessing and documenting injuries, gathering forensic evidence, and providing appropriate medical care for children and teens experiencing trauma related to possible abuse or human trafficking.
Our Pediatric Forensic Medical Team consists of a Certified Child Life Specialist, Family Advocate, and Board Certified Child Abuse Pediatrician who conducts the specialized evaluations for alleged child abuse victims.
Meet Dr. Jennifer Rodriguez
Dr. Jennifer Rodriguez, Board Certified Child Abuse Pediatrician, conducts the exams. Dr. Rodriguez is one of only four child abuse pediatricians in the State of Louisiana. The other three are located in the New Orleans region. Dr. Rodriguez is employed by LSUHS, where is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics and head of the Child Abuse Pediatric Section.
